# Garth admin setup

> Link your Garth tenant with your organization's Microsoft Teams tenant. A one-time setup performed by a Garth admin.

Before MS Teams users can install GAssist, a Garth admin links your Garth tenant with your organization's Microsoft Teams (Microsoft Entra) tenant. This connects the two systems so GAssist is available to your team.

  This setup is required only once per organization. After you complete it, MS Teams users install GAssist directly from the [Teams app store](/gassist/teams-install).

## Before you start

* You need Garth admin access to [app.heygarth.ai](https://app.heygarth.ai/).
* You need permission to add apps in your organization's Microsoft Teams.
* Use the Microsoft Teams desktop app for this setup.

## Link Garth with Microsoft Teams

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign in to Garth">
    Sign in to [app.heygarth.ai](https://app.heygarth.ai/) with your Garth admin account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Integrations settings">
    Go to [Settings > Integrations](https://app.heygarth.ai/settings/integrations).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Install Microsoft Teams">
    In the **GAssist** section, select **Install Microsoft Teams**.

  <Step title="Add the GAssist app in Teams">
    You are redirected to the GAssist app, which opens the Microsoft Teams desktop app and shows the GAssist app dialog. Select **Add** to complete the installation.

Your Garth tenant is now linked with Microsoft Teams. GAssist confirms the link in the chat, showing who installed it and your Garth tenant ID.
