Dashboard controls
At the top of the page:- Executive Summary — generates an AI-written summary of this dashboard’s data (see the Executive Summary Settings guide for how the underlying AI connection is configured).
- Export Report — downloads the current view as a report.
- Project and Actor filters — narrow the dashboard to a specific project or person.
- Date Range — set a custom start/end date, or use the 7 Days, 15 Days, or 90 Days quick-select buttons.
Inactive Users
Shows Slack users who haven’t been active recently, to help you spot disengagement. Above the table, three controls let you tune the view:- Min inactive days — only show users inactive for at least this many days.
- Top N — how many users to show.
- Search user — find a specific person.
Click View Full List to see the complete inactive-users list beyond the Top N shown here.
Burnout & Risk

Burnout Signals
- Channels by after-hours % — burnout candidates — a bar chart of channels ranked by what percentage of their messages are sent after hours, against a threshold to flag (shown as 20% in this view). Use Search channel to find a specific one, or View Full List for the complete ranking.
- Top engineers by after-hours activity — a table of engineers whose after-hours messaging exceeds a set threshold (shown as 25% here). This is scoped to humans only and explicitly intended for manager 1:1s only — not for performance reviews. Columns are Engineer, Messages, After-Hrs Msgs, After-Hrs %, and Risk.
The “not for performance reviews” note on the after-hours table is intentional — this data is meant to help managers check in on wellbeing, not to evaluate individual performance.
Open Exception Alerts
Action queue shows currently open alerts — burnout signals and SLA breaches surfaced for review. Shows “0 open alerts” and “No data for this period” when there’s nothing currently flagged.Exception Alerts — Log
A raw log of alerts from the Slack exceptions endpoint, with Alert Type, Severity, Status, Channel, Metric Value, Week Start, Assignee, Date, and Actions columns. Use Search alert or View Full List to browse the full log.People & Collaboration

- Top collaborators — engineers who reply in threads — a bar chart ranking engineers by total thread replies. As the subtitle notes, this specifically measures collaboration, not broadcasting — someone who posts a lot but rarely replies to others won’t rank highly here. Switch the metric via the Replies dropdown, or search/view the full list.
- Users activity list — engineering roster — the top 15 engineers (humans only) by total messages, with Messages, Replies, After-Hrs, and After-Hrs % columns. Change how many are shown via the Top 15 dropdown, or switch the ranking metric via the Messages dropdown.
- Slack users — directory — a full directory of Slack users (people and bot accounts), with Name, Title, and Department columns. Filter by Bot status or Active status, or search by name.
Channels

- Top channels by activity — ranks channels by a selected metric (default Messages), showing Channel, Messages, Threads, Unique Authors, Members, and Avg Response (s). Change the ranking metric or how many channels are shown (Top 10) via the dropdowns, or search for a specific channel.
- Public vs private message split — a weekly bar chart comparing public vs. private channel message volume. This endpoint is always weekly-resolution, regardless of the date range selected elsewhere on the dashboard.
- Channel creation vs archive — a sprawl indicator: high channel creation paired with low archiving suggests you have more channels than you actually need. Shows “No data for this period” when there’s nothing to compare.
- Channel health — response times for each channel, including channels flagged as suppressed (small-group channels excluded from certain aggregate stats to protect privacy in low-membership channels). Columns are Channel, Messages, Unique Authors, Threads, Avg Response (s), and P50 Response (s).
A channel marked (suppressed) in these tables is a small-group channel being held back from certain rollups — this is intentional and protects individual privacy in channels with very few members.
Departments

- Departments — headcount and message volume — lists each department’s Headcount and total Messages. Shows “No departments recorded on user profiles” if department data hasn’t been filled in for your users yet.
- Department engagement & burnout signals — compares each department’s WAU % (weekly active users) and After-Hours % against burnout/low-engagement thresholds, alongside Messages, Active Users, and Headcount, with an overall Status (for example, Low Engagement). Departments with too few members may show as (no department) (suppressed) for privacy reasons, similar to channels.
Cost Savings

These figures depend on the Cost / Seat value configured for Slack under Tool Cost Settings — if that number looks off, update it there and this tab will recalculate automatically.
