Cloud Provider Settings

The Cloud Provider Settings tab is where you feed in cloud cost and business metrics so G360 can calculate ROI for your cloud provider spend. This tab lives under Administration → Settings → Cloud Provider Settings. Underneath this tab sit three provider sub-tabs — AWS Settings, GCP Settings, Azure Settings — each covering that provider’s cost and metrics configuration. This guide starts with AWS Settings; GCP and Azure follow the same pattern and will be covered separately.

AWS Settings

AWS Settings lets you record AWS cost and business metrics, month by month, which G360 uses to calculate ROI.

Understanding the table

Each row represents one reporting month:

Column	What it shows
Period Month	The reporting month this row covers (for example, “2026-07-01”).
Revenue	Revenue recorded for that month. Shows – if not yet entered.
Active Customers	Number of active customers for that month.
Transactions	Number of transactions for that month.
Allocated Cost	The portion of AWS cost allocated to this period.
Cost / Customer	Allocated Cost divided by Active Customers.
Gross Margin %	Gross margin, calculated from revenue and allocated cost.
ROI %	Return on investment for that period.
Actions	An ✏️ Edit button to update that row’s figures.

Columns show – until a value has been recorded for that metric in that month — this is normal for a period you’ve only partially filled in.

Adding a record

Click + Add Record in the top right to open the Add AWS Cloud Settings form.

All fields sit under AWS Cloud Settings:

Field	Required	Details
Period Month	Yes	The reporting month this record applies to.
Team SK	Yes	The team surrogate key — an internal identifier for the team this metric belongs to.
Product SK	Yes	The product surrogate key — an internal identifier for the product this metric belongs to.
Metric Key	Yes	Which business metric you’re recording a value for — select from the dropdown (for example, Revenue, Active Customers, Transactions, or Allocated Cost).
Metric Value	Yes	The numeric value of the metric you selected above.
Metric Unit	No	The unit this value is measured in (for example, “count” or “USD”).

Each record adds one metric value for one Team SK/Product SK/Period Month combination. To fully populate a month’s row in the table (Revenue, Active Customers, Transactions, and Allocated Cost), you’ll add a separate record for each metric using the same Period Month.

Once all required fields (marked with a red *) are filled in, click Save Setting in the top right to save the record. Click Cancel to discard your changes and return to the AWS Settings list.

GCP Settings

GCP Settings lets you configure GCP cost, ROI, and governance settings. Underneath this sub-tab sit six further sub-tabs: ROI Initiatives, Business Units, Budget Guardials, Business Metrics, Budget Metrics, and Cleanup Rules. Each works the same way — a table of existing records, and an + Add Record button that opens a form for that record type.

ROI Initiatives

GCP ROI Initiatives tracks GCP ROI initiatives with savings targets and investment details.

Column	What it shows
Name	The initiative’s identifier name.
Category	The initiative’s category.
Owner	The team or person responsible.
Status	The initiative’s current status (for example, “proposed”).
Target Savings	The savings target for this initiative.
Realized to Date	How much savings has actually been realized so far.
Investment	Total investment cost.
ROI %	Return on investment for this initiative.
Payback (Mo)	How many months until the investment pays for itself.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP ROI Initiative form.

Field	Required	Details
Title	No	A short display title for the initiative.
Name	Yes	The initiative’s identifier name.
Owner	Yes	The team or person responsible for this initiative.
Category	Yes	The initiative’s category.
Status	No	The current initiative status (defaults to “proposed”).
Project ID	No	The GCP project identifier this initiative relates to.
Expected Annual Savings	No	The projected annual savings amount, in the currency set below.
Target Savings	No	The target savings for this initiative.
Realized to Date	No	Savings realized so far.
Investment	No	Total investment cost.
Currency	No	The currency used for all monetary fields on this form (defaults to USD).
Start Date	No	The initiative’s start date.
Target Date	No	The expected completion date.
Description	No	An optional description of the initiative.
Linked Recommendation IDs	No	A comma-separated list of recommendation IDs this initiative addresses.

Click Save Setting to create the initiative, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Business Units

GCP Business Units manages your GCP business units and their assigned project IDs.

Column	What it shows
Name	The business unit’s name.
Owner	The team or person responsible.
Project Count	How many GCP projects are assigned to this business unit.
Active	Whether this business unit is currently enabled (Yes/No).
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP Business Unit form.

Field	Required	Details
Name	Yes	The business unit’s name.
Owner	No	The team or person responsible for this business unit.
Active	No	Checkbox to enable or disable this business unit — checked by default.

Click Save Setting to create the business unit, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Budget Guardials

GCP Budget Guardians lets you configure budget guardrail policies with thresholds and actions — rules that trigger automatically when spend crosses a defined limit.

Column	What it shows
Name	The guardrail policy’s name.
Type	The type of guardrail (for example, “hard limit”).
Threshold %	The budget threshold percentage that triggers this rule.
Action	What happens when the threshold is breached.
Active	Whether this guardrail is currently enabled.
Breaches (MTD)	How many times this guardrail has been breached month-to-date.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP Budget Guardial form.

Field	Required	Details
Name	Yes	The guardrail policy’s name.
Guardrail Type	No	The type of budget guardrail policy (defaults to “hard_limit”).
Threshold %	Yes	The budget threshold percentage that triggers this rule.
Action	No	The action to take when the threshold is breached.
Description	No	An optional description of this guardrail policy.
Active	No	Checkbox to enable or disable this guardrail policy — checked by default.

Click Save Setting to create the guardrail, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Business Metrics

GCP Business Metrics records business metric entries by project and team — the same metric-at-a-time pattern used in AWS Settings, but for GCP.

Column	What it shows
Date	The date this metric entry applies to.
Project ID	The GCP project this metric belongs to.
Team	The owning team.
Metric Key	The name of the business metric (for example, “revenue”, “active_customers”).
Metric Value	The numeric value recorded for that metric.
Unit	The unit of measurement (for example, “usd”, “count”).
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP Business Metric form.

Field	Required	Details
Provider	Yes	Defaults to “Business Metrics” for this form.
Date	Yes	The date this metric entry applies to.
Project ID	Yes	The GCP project identifier this metric belongs to.
Team	Yes	The owning team.
Metric Key	Yes	The name of the business metric (for example, “active_customers”).
Metric Value	Yes	The numeric value of the metric.
Metric Unit	No	The unit of measurement (for example, “count”, “USD”).

Click Save Setting to create the entry, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Budget Metrics

GCP Budget Metrics sets budget targets for a project and team, month by month.

Column	What it shows
Month	The budget target month.
Project ID	The GCP project this budget applies to.
Team	The owning team.
Budget Amount	The allocated budget amount for that month.
Currency	The currency the budget amount is in.
Notes	Any notes recorded about this budget target.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP Budget Metric form.

Field	Required	Details
Provider	Yes	Defaults to “Budget Metrics” for this form.
Month	Yes	The budget target month.
Project ID	Yes	The GCP project identifier this budget applies to.
Team	Yes	The owning team.
Budget Amount	Yes	The allocated budget amount.
Currency	Yes	The budget’s currency (defaults to USD).
Notes	No	Optional notes about this budget target.

Click Save Setting to create the budget target, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Cleanup Rules

GCP Cleanup Rules configures auto-cleanup rules for waste and idle resources — automated actions that reclaim cost from unused GCP resources.

Column	What it shows
Name	The cleanup rule’s name.
Resource Type	The type of resource this rule targets (for example, “idle_vm”, “unused_disk”).
Action	The action taken when this rule fires (for example, “delete”, “stop”, “notify”).
Status	The rule’s current status.
Last Reclaimed	The amount last reclaimed by this rule.
Currency	The currency the reclaimed amount is measured in.
Active	Whether this rule is currently enabled.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add GCP Cleanup Rule form.

Field	Required	Details
Name	Yes	The cleanup rule’s name.
Resource Type	Yes	The type of resource this rule targets (for example, “idle_vm”, “unused_disk”).
Action	Yes	The action to take when this rule fires (for example, “delete”, “stop”, “notify”).
Currency	No	The currency for the reclaimed amount (for example, “USD”, “EUR”).
Description	No	An optional description of this cleanup rule.
Last Reclaimed	No	The amount last reclaimed by this rule.

Click Save Setting to create the rule, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Azure Settings

Azure Settings lets you configure Azure FinOps dashboard settings. Underneath this sub-tab sit five further sub-tabs: Unit Economics, FinOps, Guardrails, AKS Cluster, and Savings ROI. Each works the same way — a table of existing records, and an Add button (its label changes per sub-tab — Add Record, Add Score, Add Rule, Add Cluster, Add Initiative) that opens a form for that record type.

Unit Economics

Unit Economics manages unit economics cost drivers by dimension — letting you break cost down per customer, per feature, or any other dimension you define.

Column	What it shows
Dimension Type	The kind of dimension being measured (for example, “customer”, “feature”).
Dimension Value	The specific value of that dimension.
Cost	The total cost recorded for this dimension.
Driver Value	The volume of the underlying driver (for example, number of API calls).
Driver Unit	The unit the driver is measured in.
Unit Cost	Cost divided by Driver Value — the cost per unit of the driver.
Date	The date this record applies to.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Record to open the Add Unit Economics Record form.

Field	Required	Details
Dimension Type	Yes	The kind of dimension being measured (for example, “customer”, “feature”).
Dimension Value	Yes	The specific value of that dimension.
Driver Value	Yes	The volume of the underlying driver.
Driver Unit	Yes	The unit the driver is measured in.
Cost	Yes	The total cost for this dimension.
Unit Cost	Yes	The cost per unit of the driver.
Date	Yes	The date this record applies to.

Click Add to save the record, or Cancel to discard your changes.

FinOps

FinOps Capability Scores manages FinOps maturity scores by business unit and capability — tracking how mature each part of your organization is at specific FinOps practices over time.

Column	What it shows
Business Unit	The business unit this score applies to (for example, “Engineering”).
Capability	The FinOps capability being scored (for example, “inform”).
Score %	The maturity score for that capability, as a percentage.
Measured At	The timestamp this score was recorded.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Score to open the Add FinOps Capability Score form.

Field	Required	Details
Business Unit	Yes	The business unit this score applies to.
Capability	Yes	The FinOps capability being scored.
Score %	Yes	The maturity score, as a percentage (for example, “65”).
Measured At	Yes	The timestamp this score was recorded, in `YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ` format.

Click Add to save the score, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Guardrails

Guardrail Rules manages budget and spend guardrail rules and thresholds — automated rules that watch for unusual spend, budget overruns, or approval requirements.

Column	What it shows
Rule ID	The rule’s unique identifier.
Scope ID	The identifier of what this rule applies to (for example, a subscription or resource group).
Rule Type	The kind of rule (for example, “anomaly_threshold”, “approval_threshold”, “forecast_overrun”, “hard_limit”).
Threshold Value	The numeric threshold that triggers this rule.
Threshold Unit	The unit the threshold is measured in (for example, “std_dev”, “pct_of_budget”).
Description	A short explanation of what the rule does (for example, “Triggers on unusual spend”).
Status	Whether the rule is currently active.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Rule to open the Add Guardrail Rule form.

Field	Required	Details
Rule ID	Yes	The rule’s unique identifier.
Scope ID	Yes	The identifier of what this rule applies to.
Rule Type	Yes	The kind of rule (for example, “anomaly_threshold”, “hard_limit”).
Status	Yes	Whether the rule is active.

AKS Cluster

AKS Clusters manages the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters tracked for Azure FinOps cost allocation.

Column	What it shows
Cluster Name	The cluster’s name.
Resource ID	The Azure resource ID for this cluster.
Workspace ID	The Log Analytics workspace ID associated with this cluster.
Region	The Azure region this cluster runs in.
Credential ID	The credential used to access this cluster’s cost data.
Status	Whether this cluster is currently active.
Actions	Edit and delete controls for that row.

Click + Add Cluster to open the Add AKS Cluster form.

Field	Required	Details
Cluster Resource ID	Yes	The Azure resource ID for this cluster.
Cluster Name	Yes	The cluster’s name.
Workspace ID	Yes	The Log Analytics workspace ID associated with this cluster.
Region	Yes	The Azure region this cluster runs in.

Active	No	Toggle to enable or disable tracking for this cluster — on by default.

Savings ROI

Savings & ROI Initiatives manages savings initiatives and tracks ROI by owner team — similar in spirit to GCP’s ROI Initiatives, but scoped to Azure.

Initiative ID	The initiative’s unique identifier (for example, “azr-init-0003”).
Category	The initiative’s category (for example, “rightsizing”).
Owner Team	The team responsible for this initiative.
Investment	The total investment cost.
Expected Savings	The projected savings from this initiative.
